Bike Tours in India Duration of Safari: 15 Days OR 21 Days Accommodation: Clean, comfortable hotels / motels, and, wherever possible, in exclusive small hotels run by erstwhile Landlords and Maharajas in their Havelies (personal mansions) or small Palaces. These are very clean with running hot and cold water and have an aura of old worldly charm with gracious service and excellent facilities. Cuisine: Mostly a variety of Indian, but continental wherever possible. Most meals will be served hot and very hygienically prepared. Support vehicle: In attendance with spares, tools, mechanic, mineral water, first aid. It will also carry all personal heavy luggage required for the trip, & sick or tired bikers, if necessary. Types of bike: Indian made Royal Enfield Bullets (350 cc.) Safari size: a) 5 motorcycles comprising rider with pillion (i.e. 10 persons per tour) + Tour Leader b) 5 bikes with 5 solo riders + Tour Leader. Also a combination of above two is possible Basic rider a) Valid International 2 wheeler driving license and Pillion minimum 3 /5 years experience preferably some on dirt. Requirements: Roads. The Himalayan routes especially is very challenging, Requiring, at times, 10 hours on the road to cover a mere 170Kms. Personal riding gears like Jackets, riding boots, gloves, Helmet, woolen clothing's etc. Fully comprehensive medical / accident medical policy. Undertaking absolving tour organizers against litigation and all liabilities. List of equipment carried in the support vehicle : 1. One spare bike. 2. Assorted spares for repair of motorcycles en route i.e. cables, bulbs, clutch plates, tubes, spare wheels etc. 3. Comprehensive tool kit. 4. Spare battery. 5. Battery charger. 6. Large ice box for mineral water, cold towels etc. 7. Comprehensive first aid kit to cater for most contingencies. Vehicles used are : 1. South India and Rajasthan - 14 seater Tempo Traveler with half the seats removed and the rest repositioned to accommodate the items listed above along with the baggage of the riders. The seating accommodation provides enough space not only for the support crew but also for any tired/sick riders/ pillion. 2. Himachal - Tata 407 / Armadas. List of services included : 1. Motorcycles for all riders in the group and one spare bike as stand by. 2. All necessary spares and tools. 3. Support vehicle 4. Support staff - detailed above 5. First aid 6. Ice box for mineral water 7. Twin sharing accommodation with breakfast in 2/3 star hotels wherever possible. 8. In Himachal - luxury tented accommodation as per itinerary and two cooks with helpers 9. Guides where ever necessary 10. Airport transfer - incoming and outgoing. List of services not included : 1. Personal, medical and accident insurance 2. Lunch & Dinner 3. Petrol 4. Alcohol, cigarettes and personal toiletries. Mode of Payment : 70% of tour cost in advance, on confirmation of tour, atleast 15 days before start of tour and balance within 7 days from day of submission of final bill.
