Paleolim is a quiet beautiful beach with a possibility of sighting dolphins. Visit temple at Murdeshwar. Overnight at Murdeshwar Resort. Day 2 – MURDESHWAR / MANGALORE (160 Kms) Depart Murdeshwar for Mangalore. Overnight at Mangalore at Hotel Mangalore International (160 km) Day 3 – Managalore / Hassan (200 kms) Depart Mangalore for Hassan via Bellur. Scenic drive through forests and mountains. Visit temple at bellur. Picnic lunch en route. Overnight at Hotel. Day 4 – Hassan / Mysore (140 Kms.) Depart for Mysore via Srirangapatnam. Overnight at Hotel Palace Plaza. Free at evening to sightseeing and shop. Visit palace. Day 5 – Mysore / Ooty (145 kms.) Depart for Ooty via Bandipur riding on the short cut. Bandipur is a game sanctuary home to elephant, gaur, tiger, pheasants etc. Overnight at Regency Villa, Ooty. Evening free to walk about Ooty. Overnight at the Hotel. Day 6 – At Ooty Morning visit to the Ooty lake and botanical gardens. Evening free for independent activities. Overnight at the Hotel Regency Villa. Day 7 – Ooty / Munnar (280 kms.) Depart for Munnar via Mettaupallium, Avanashi, Palladam and Udmalpet. Overnight at unnar. Beautiful drive through tea and cardamom plantations. This beautiful hill station was the summer resort of the British in the South and is at the confluence of three mountain streams. It is close to Mattupetty dam. Overnight stay at Hotel. Day 8 – Munnar / Kodaikanal (100 kms.) Depart for Kodaikanal via Top Station. Beautiful drive thru forests and mountains. Overnight at Kodi. Evening free to visit lake, boating etc. Possibility of sighting wild elephants. Kodi is again a small, very picturesque hill station built around a lake and surrounded by tea and coffee plantations. The drive from Munnar is superb for bikes. Also known for the Kurinji flower which blooms once in 12 yrs Day 9 – Kodaikanal / Thekkady (180 kms.) Depart for Thekkadi via Munnar. Drive through tea and cardamom plantations and beautifully forested areas. Overnight at Thekkadi. Route passes thru the picturesque hilly areas of Iddukki district. Day 10 – Thekkady / Allappuza (195 Kms.) Depart for Alappuzha via the backwaters and Kottayam. Overnight at Alappuzha also known as the Venice of the East. Has a thriving coconut fibre industry and holds the Nehru Trophy Boat Race annually in August. The famous Sree Krishna Temple is situated 15 km from Alappuzha (195 kms) Day 11 – Allapuza -backwater trip / Kochi (ride - 45 Kms.) At Alappuzha. Half day trip in launch sailing the backwaters of Kerala. Evening free to visit town and shop. Overnight at Alappuzha. Day 12 – At Kochi Drive to Kochi. Full day sightseeing of Kochi. Possible visit to Gurukullam Kathalkali Yogam to see the dancers in their colorful costumes. Visit Jewish Synagouge at Mattancherry which was built in 1568. This is only open form 1000-1200 hrs and 1500-1700 hrs and closed on Saturdays and Jewish holidays. Overnight at Kochi. Day 13 – Leave Kochi (International Airport) Departure transfer to International Airport for boarding onward destination flight.
